  • 3 New Ways Facebook is Helping Brands Manage Their Content and Communities

3 New Ways Facebook is Helping Brands Manage Their Content and Communities Social Media Week by Erica Perry According to Facebook‘s recent State of Small Business Report, more than half (55%) of small businesses say they’re using digital tools to communicate with customers. On the heels of this research, the platform announced several new tools and features to help businesses connect with their customers online and grow their communities more efficiently. Building CommunityFor businesses that already use the new redesigned Facebook Pages experience, originally unveiled this past January, the platform is introducing additional ways to manage your community and find relevant content from other businesses without having to deviate from the app. More specifically, businesses can engage as their business profile streamlining routine tasks including commenting, posting and liking. Once a user takes the time to check out or hover a particular update or post, they can tap through a new dedicated feed of listings from these Pages that may align with their top interests. To further help you save time managing your business account, Facebook suggests leveraging the Professional Dashboard that serves as a central hub for all the key tools as well as actionable Page Insights. A final tip – don’t overlook the ability to set task-based permissions to admins to further monitor who has access to your Page. Upping discovery“The need for digital business communications and transactions isn’t slowing down, and we’re continuing to build products that meet the evolving needs of people and businesses as they look to do more online,” Facebook shared in the official announcement. In this vein, it’s rolling out a few noteworthy updates emphasizing the quality versus quantity of leads. A new ‘Conversion Leads’ goal for Lead Ads allows advertisers to optimize for lead and most likely versus pure volume. Put differently, emphasizing functionality of Lead ads as opposed to going for reach alone. You can also integrate your CRM data with Facebook. Per the platform, Lead ads that used Conversion Leads quality optimization saw on average greater than 20 percent increase in lead-to-sale conversion rate compared with existing optimization. To drive longer-term relationships, Facebook also introduced the option to convert Lead ads form into Messenger templates. As part of the testing phase, Newsome Interactive added Messenger to its lead-generation strategy and saw more than a 13 percent lift in lead volume. Finally, new ‘Call Ads‘ will enable advertisers to display a ‘Call Now’ CTA button in their ads. This not only allows advertisers to connect with consumers in real time, but also help improve the overall performance of Call ads and lower the cost per call. In testing, Facebook reports observing a greater than 30 percent cost reduction in cost per quality call during the test, compared to running Call Ads with the Link Clicks optimization goal. Improving the Business Suite: scheduling stories and editing scheduled posts yLast year, Facebook rolled out Business Suite with the primary goal of taking the headache out of managing their online presence so they could focus purely on establishing meaningful connections. A recent survey revealed that two out of three users said Business Suite helped them connect with more customers. Following 2020, however, as a growing number of people and businesses focus their efforts online, and with the future leaning heavily towards digital communications and transactions, the platform wants to take these efforts to the next level. In its latest push, Facebook is focusing on helping brands streamline content creation by planning, and these new features are designed to do just that. Here’s what’s new: The ability to compose Stories within the app, then schedule them to go live on both Facebook and Instagram. Your scheduled posts will then be displayed on your content calendar within the Business Suite app. The ability to save all Facebook and Instagram posts as drafts, adding even more planning flexibility for your Stories approach. Coming soon: the ability to publish and manage Facebook Photos and Albums from Business Suite by navigating to the “Posts & Stories” tab. • Why You Shouldn’t Limit Your Music To Only Your Literal Experiences

The world’s most popular and influential songs have lyrical narratives that usually explore what it feels like to be human, with topics like falling in and out of love, coping with death, or even just facing the tedium of daily life. As a songwriter, learning to draw musical inspiration and meaning from your own life is one of the most important valuable actions you can take, but you’ll end up limiting yourself in a big way if you stop there. What your music can and can’t be aboutYou can make music about literally anything you want. Any idea, no matter how absurd, true, untrue, or random, can become a song. You don’t, and probably shouldn’t, write songs purely based on your own experiences because much of what a person sees and does on a daily basis is quite boring, obviously. A concept album about your non-musical day job is probably not going to be a hit, unless you have a knack for weaving poetry into your descriptions of mundane things. When you open up your music to things that transcend your literal experiences, you give your songs countless new potential creative directions to explore that you couldn’t have had access to before. You can write music about historical events, places you’ve never been, fictional characters and worlds, jokes, world events––literally anything you want. But the key thing to remember is your audience. If your songs are too cryptic and hard for other people to understand, then people will probably not connect with them. Your epic sci-fi concept album will have a much better chance at finding an audience if the music feels and sounds emotive, with human stories that listeners can hear themselves in. Your music can be about anything you want, including things you’ve literally experienced and things you haven’t, but songs with authentic, human stories are the ones that usually go on to find audiences. How to move past writing only about your own experiencesIf you’ve never explored songs that aren’t just about things you’ve personally seen, done, or endured, then branching out might feel a little intimidating at first. A good place to start is by keeping a songwriting journal and jotting down the things you think about the most. If a world event keeps popping into your mind, for example, then that’s a good starting point for a new song. You can apply the same music-writing approach you usually do when it comes to matching melodies with lyrics, or lyrics to melodies depending on what you write first. Give yourself permission to fail if this is your first time branching out from just covering literal experiences in your music, and don’t be afraid to feel uncomfortable with this process because that’s a normal part of trying something new. And, most importantly, explore whatever you want to for the subjects of your songs, but try not to force inspiration when it’s not there. If you try to write about something you don’t know about or aren’t really interested in, it will come across in your songs. If you bring the things you’re truly passionate and knowledgeable about to your music, your songs will feel human and authentic, whether they include your lived experiences or not.

Artist bio: oey Jaey is a Canadian/Nigerian singer, songwriter and music producer .
When the global pandemic hit the world in 2020, Joey reignited his passion for songwriting. In June 2020, he released his first single Friends featuring Ajuju and Mayer, and his debut EP 'Discovery' which can be described as a fusion of different music genres - including Pop, Afrobeat and Reggaeton. In 2021, Joey Jaey released five singles entitled ‘Treat You Right’, ‘Rigmarole’ ft. Meyar, ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ ft. Tariq, ‘Diamond Hands’ and his latest, ‘Love Potion’. Joey is a singer, songwriter and vocalist who is quite experimental with the music he creates. This is evident in his past releases which are heavily influenced by R&B and Soul. But this is the first time he's taken a musical detour into Nigeria's most popular genre, Afrobeats. 'Bam Bam' has all the markings of a viral hit, especially with the seamless delivery of engaging lyrics over excellent production.

  • LOVE SICK

LOVESICK Share Pro Submision Performed by: Spectoral Release: Is released to the public Release date: not released ANTICIPATION BUILDS FOR SPECTORAL’S DEBUT ALBUM WITH NEW SINGLE “LOVESICK” RELEASES ON 30TH JUNE 2022 LISTEN HERE (RELEASES JUNE 30) DOWNLOAD PHOTOS & ART HERE "Spectoral can be relied on to deliver some highly detailed productions with unshakable earworm qualities at their core" —Dave Ruby Howe, Music Director, Triple J Unearthed “Hints at an artist destined for some big stages" —Pilerats Disrupting expectations within its opening bar, LOVESICK has a corruption to its electronic backbone that compliments its frenetic story of betrayal. It’s the newest single from revered Australian producer Spectoral, who’s spent much of the last two years busily readying an enormous debut album featuring no fewer than fifteen (!!) guests. Two of these feature on LOVESICK, with a third behind the scenes. “I’m three EPs deep into my career, but only now do I feel like I’ve really arrived on the scene” says Spectoral from their light-filled studio, overflowing to the brim with Devil’s Ivy, Schefflera, Monstera, Palms and Pilea. Studio Daylight, as it’s named, resembles more of a garden nursery than a state-of-the-art pop production house, but don’t be fooled. “The plants thrive off the music, and my creativity thrives off the plants, so we have somewhat of a symbiotic relationship” says the Australian-Mauritian-Slovakian producer when asked about the aesthetic. So where did the idea for LOVESICK come from, and where is its place in the upcoming album? “The hook is where that track began, and that hook is actually the brainchild of Canadian / Australian artist Ryan Cruise. We probably wouldn’t have a song at all if it wasn’t for that melodic vocal hook coming at me so damn infectious in the first place. It planted the seed and the potential grew from there.” “The rest of the song is a true story, of sorts” the producer says. “The words come from life, and I think song is the silver lining born in the aftermath. In fact, the whole album is an aftermath, and LOVESICK is one key chapter in the larger story it will tell at the end of this year with any luck.” The influence of ultramodern contemporaries like SEBASTIAN PAUL, Elijah Hill, Golden Vessel, BAYNK and NICOLOSI are apparent on LOVESICK, and Spectoral doesn’t shy away from admitting there’s a real fandom there. “Oh yeah for sure, they come up in my Spotify radio suggestions all the time. It’s hard not to be both wowed and also go, like, ‘challenge accepted’ whenever I hear something totally incredible from those artists, which is often.” “But I also consider myself a collaborator at heart,” continues Spectoral, “which is why I’ve got so many underground names featuring alongside me on the album.” Poised for an end-of-year drop, the album is hugely anticipated among Spectoral’s rapidly growing fanbase, particularly in Australia where they’re an integral committee member of The Beat Collective, a sprawling network of artists and producers. It’s this Collective, says Spectoral, that led to the realization that sharing in the strengths of each others’ talents can lead to much greater artistry. “It’s that thing where the ‘whole is greater than the sum of its parts’ I guess.” says the producer. “Take LOVESICK for example, it wouldn’t be anything if not for what Megadead and Tusanxmi bring to it. Megadead has this knack for pulling incredible sound design out of nowhere and I doubt it’ll be the last time we do something together. He is a sound design genius wrapped in this humble, ironic presentation, I’m such a fan. And Tusanxmi, I knew right away when I heard her vocal on singles Hinata and Summer Days that I had to work with her. Sure enough she’s knocked it out of the park with her verse on LOVESICK, it’s lifted the entire thing to five stars for me.” LOVESICK releases everywhere on June 30. In the meantime, you can hear it below, and follow Spectoral here. ARTIST BIOGRAPHY Nimbly interlacing subversive electronic sound design with ultramodern hip-hop and pioneering alternative R&B, Spectoral pushes the boundary of pop to the cutting-edge. Dave Ruby Howe, Music Director of Australia’s Triple J Unearthed and host of Home & Hosed, describes Spectoral as "an artist who can be relied on to deliver highly detailed productions with unshakable earworm qualities at their core". A pivotal committee member of Melbourne's sprawling Beat Collective (beatcollective.net), Spectoral has worked with many music engineering heavyweights including BANTA, Flavour Lord (Amy Shark, Wyatt), SUB-human (SLUMBERJACK, Yvng Jalapeño), ALIUS, Tim McArtney (LANKS), Ben Feggans (The Kite String Tangle, Ngaiire) and Robin Waters (Darling James, The Boat People). A revered producer and singer, Spectoral has been compared favorably by NOTION, PILERATS and MYSTIC SONS to the likes of Golden Vessel, The Weeknd, James Blake, Joji, Flume, SOHN, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake and Galimatias. Boasting half a million streams to their name across three EPs, with dozens of collaborators, Spectoral's unignorable sound has been firmly established with FM radio airings on Triple J, Triple J Unearthed, SYN, Radio Adelaide & PVFM. Based in Australia, and with proud Mauritian-Slovakian heritage, Spectoral has been spending much of the last two years busily readying an enormous debut album featuring no fewer than fifteen guests. 2022 is the hugely anticipated release of its first string of singles, revealing a breadth of subversive pop that showcases why Spectoral is so revered in the space.
